Jill and I went on a super awesome backpack trip for the Fourth of Jill-y to Saddlebag Lake (more specifically Greenstone lake). To get there from the West Coast you drive through Yosemite, Tuolumne Meadows, and out the Tioga gate at the east side of the park. Then a couple of miles north on a dirt road. We parked at Saddlebag lake, elevation 10,000 feet. We then hiked around the west side for about 2 miles and set up camp in a wilderness playland.
